feeder sound exclusive premiere: Igor Vicente & DkA – Ecstatic EP (w. Gregor Tresher remix) [Move Recordings]

Igor Vicente joins forces with DkA for “Ecstatic EP” alongside Gregor Tresher on remix duties. The record arrives this November via Belgian imprint Move Recordings, with the mastering provided by Neumatik Studio, and the artwork by Daphné Lesuisse. Early support arrives from Timo Maas, Paco Osuna, Ilario Alicante, Just Her, Adriatique and others.

Belgium-based label Move Recordings, founded and led by veteran DJ and producer Jérôme Naujoks aka End-Jy, traces its origins to the vibrant ’90s techno scene of Tournai. Reignited in 2025 through a new partnership with Igor Vicente, the venture returns with a renewed mission, and that’s to deliver cutting-edge electronic music crafted for the contemporary dance music scene.

This time round, it welcomes the aforementioned label partner, Igor Vicente, renowned for his genre-blending style and releases on labels such as Mobilee, Hot Creations and Visionquest, once again in collaboration with DkA, who’s racked up releases on Get Physical, Constant State and Mau5trap Recordings, a striking sign of his ability to explore a variety of genres and styles himself.

The EP kicks off with the title track “Ecstatic”, a tension-filled roller that blooms into uplifting atmospheres, hypnotic hooks and a huge, hands-in-the-air drop built for peak-time dancefloors. On the remix, Gregor Tresher reshapes the original into an uptempo tool by extracting certain fragments and fusing them with elongated bass grooves, heavily shuffled, crunchy drums and intricate melodic elements.

On the flip, our featured track “Planets” takes things deeper with a 9-minute acid-fuelled ride, designed with spiralling background textures and driving, steady-paced drums to keep the dancefloor locked in. Rounding off the release, the Dub Mix of A1 dials straight into the raw groove, stripping it back to its core rhythm and psychedelic pulsations.

Here’s a deeper insight from Igor Vicente into the making of “Planets”, our exclusive premiere for today, as well as the whole EP:

“Planets” was created during the Covid period, a deeply unsettling time. There was this strange sense of inactivity in the air, and we tried to capture that feeling in the music. In Belgium, kids from the ’80s all grew up with trance and ’90s techno, so we started working on a track that would take us on a kind of trip. We began experimenting with the 303, then found a kick and a clap, and later added the pads.

For a long time, the track only existed in its first part, as there was no variation or second break yet. It was hard to see its full potential since the clubs were closed and we couldn’t test it on the dancefloor, so it stayed unfinished. Nobody seemed interested, and it was left forgotten for a while.

About a year ago, I joined Move Recordings as a partner and artistic director alongside Jérôme Naujocks aka End-Jy. I suggested releasing “Planets” and “Ecstatic” to Jérôme, and he loved them instantly. We decided to release them as an EP, featuring a remix by Gregor Tresher.

At that point, I realised “Planets” had much more potential, so we reworked the bassline, making it groovier, deeper and more house-oriented. Then, together with my friend and studio partner Antoine aka DkA, we re-recorded the second part, giving the groove that deep, special touch. That’s what makes the track such a beautiful trip.
