I made this picture on a very haphazard moment during the Streetwise event. As I was walking through the passage I saw so many people feverishly working. Trying to do their best on this wall of fame in Bucharest. I captured a moment when Korolenco was finishing the first face of the three and exactly as he was above the stuck out tongue of his personage. I think this picture epitomizes very much the process of the (street)artist. Before the finished result can be admired (and by the way the official result of this work is really cool) there is a moment where chaos meets order. The process of creation needs chaos to be able to reach it’s potential. Within the scaffolding, empty spraycans and scattered thoughts of the artist a high white note is reached to reach the harmony for it to come into existence. It seemed to me that this artist was dancing as he was working and his poze as he stood when I made the picture was admirable. I liked the movement in this moment. His grace and determination to complete it are striking so hence I call this picture Graceful Graffiti.
