Zurich-based label Framed Realities proudly presents its first vinyl release in the form of “Subtle Pulse EP” featuring the imprint’s co-founder Reto Erni, alongside Lola Palmer and Leeni & Danilo Kupfernagel on remix duties. Blending the depths of dub with minimal precision, the record stays true to the label’s innovative vision and elegantly sets the tone for what’s to come. Founded in 2019, Framed Realities currently counts 27 titles in its digital catalogue and 30 podcast series.

Hailing from the Swiss mountains, Reto Erni has left his mark on the deep and dub techno scenes for quite some time now. His journey began in the tranquillity of his hometown and culminated in Zurich’s dynamic clubs, where his mix of atmospheric minimal techno and rhythmic dub textures captivated the audience’s attention, making him a regular behind the decks at top venues in the city. Over time, he also grew an international presence, collaborating with labels such as Bondage Music, Cyclic Records, MixCult and Ackerdub Records while playing at renowned festivals like Fusion and 3000Grad in Berlin.

On Side A we find the original version of “Subtle Pulse”, a steady-paced cut that highlights Reto’s distinct approach to electronic music, delivering a hypnotic and immersive sound that unfolds patiently and consistently. As the record starts spinning, deep dubby textures merge with a rolling groove, pulling you in with elegance.

On the flipside, Lola Palmer delivers an energetic, dancefloor-ready remix, injecting momentum and tension while retaining the original’s immersive core, while Leeni and Danilo Kupfernagel provide a melancholic and melodic reinterpretation that remains grounded in the groove but shifts the energy into a more emotional, late-night territory.
