Romanian artist Lumieux presents “Nothing Wrong” EP on the esteemed DRG Limited series alongside label head Dragutesku on remix duties, who also signs the mastering under his DRG Mastering venture. The record marks the 5th title in the imprint’s catalogue and delivers a polished sound that combines melodic synths, groovy rhythms and subtle vocals into an amazing 4-tracker designed for the dancefloor. The artwork is provided by Constantin Leonard.

Starting his artistic journey in Bucharest’s underground electronic music scene as a teenager guided by curiosity and a distinctive ear for sonic nuance, Răzvan Preda aka Lumieux consistently grew over the years, establishing himself as a cherished presence in both club and festival lineups in Romania and across the European continent. His work as a producer adds even more value to his career as his discography includes collaborations with labels like Memoria Recordings, Purple Print, Adam’s Bite, Akta Records, Jamuse, Sintope Vinyl Series, Miden, Particular, Valioso, Abartik, Why So Series, Dissonant and Subtil Records, among others.

From sun-drenched rhythms to shadowy grooves, each cut moves with precision and soul. The title track “Nothing Wrong” opens the EP with an uplifting vibe powered by crisp percussion, swinging synth arrangements, glitchy effects and a catchy vocal sample that calls for dancing. Dragutesku‘s remix delivers a deeper and hypnotic sound, taking the original layers for a ride across the frequency spectrum while adding distinctive elements like a gritty bassline, dissonant chord bursts and phazed breakdowns.

On Side B, “Cocoricco” features vibrant percussion and a warm, sun-soaked atmosphere with a hint of Latin flair, while our featured track “GetFunk” lays out a stripped-back house groove with an emotional edge, where sharp drums mix with wobbling effects, flickering textures and waving vocal cuts that add a playful, energetic feeling to the whole journey, concluding the 12″ with style.

DRG Limited was launched in 2020 as a sublabel of the main DRG Series, which debuted in 2017 with the focus on publishing Dragutesku‘s own productions. The first release showcases the label owner’s debut album, “Dualism”, while the 2nd is a collaborative project with Search DiP. The other two EPs are signed by guerrA and Trik. DRGL005 is definitely a record that leaves nothing to chance and nothing more to wish for.
