feeder sound exclusive premiere: Natalia Roth – End Of The Line [Melódie]

Curated with love and intention, the debut release from Natalia Roth‘s vinyl-only label Melódie is now available at Yoyaku, featuring a tight-knit circle of artists. Melódie VA 001 delivers sounds that capture the essence of the afterhours through four tracks signed by Natalia herself alongside Pezlo MD, Freak The Disco and Jean Pierre. Started as an events brand and podcast series, the venture now dives into publishing modern minimal music, with each track on this compilation bringing its own flavour to the game while maintaining a cohesive atmosphere, perfect for those late nights that turn into morning sessions.

Born in Puerto Rico and now based in Miami, Natalia Roth began her artistic journey in 2014, fusing her background in piano, guitar, poetry and rave culture into a distinctive, moody and energetically charged sound rooted in minimal house, techno and electro. A fearless spirit with an insatiable thirst for innovation, she’s constantly cementing her place in the global underground scene through Melódie and her residency at Space Miami, showcasing her evolution from local standout to forward-thinking curator and tastemaker.

Aside from performing at numerous events around the world, she also brought forward hypnotic productions with a minimal edge via labels like Akbal Music, SCI+TEC, Oculus Records, Inwave, Lescale Recordings, Pakate Records, Nothing But and Fast Lane.

“A hypnotic, loopy groove laced with subtle tension and eerie synth textures.” – Natalia Roth

Opening the record, Natalia Roth’s “End Of The Line” delivers an uplifting groove designed with punching and shuffled layers of percussion, a solid bassline, haunting arpeggios and electric synth arrangements that elegantly blend with heavily modulated vocal samples and carefully placed breakdowns in order to create tension.

The other tracks are equally dynamic, following with Pezlo MD’s “Acidic” taking the journey further into late-night territory through the use of sharp acid synth work, a wobbling bassline, pungent drums and robotic vocals that call for a dance. On the flip, “Run A Train” by Freak The Disco lowers the tempo a bit and lays out a stripped-down composition focused on percussion and evolving atmospheres that blend with a soaring low-end and samples of trains passing by, while the closing cut “LA Drive” by Jean Pierre, merges minimal and breaks into a low-slung sonic affair best fitted for the early hours at any party.
