Under his moniker Cher, Romanian artist Traian Cherecheș presents C1M3R4_Analog cut_V3 on his freshly founded label Art House, an inspiring collection of six tracks that explore the essence of minimal music. From vibrant cuts to mellow, mid-tempo pieces, the album delves deep into the genre, providing a solid sound perfect for the dancefloor and the afterhours alike. The mastering is provided by Analogcut Mastering, Berlin.

Born from a shared vision on and off the dancefloor, TC Studio is the brainchild of Romanian duo Traian Cherecheș and Matei Tulbure. Having carved their path through performances at some of the underground scene’s most respected events powered by the likes of ARMA17 and Fuse, the pair have earned their stripes not just behind the decks, but in the studio as well, with a catalog that includes standout originals published via Archipel, Discours, Neostrictly, All Inn Black, Memoria Ltd and Metereze, as well as a noteworthy collaboration with Onur Özer. The journey doesn’t stop there, as Traian meets with Placidum’s Shcaa under the Nocturnal Solutions alias, bringing forward a new venture that promises to push the boundaries of modern electronic music even further.

Recently, Traian Cherecheș joined forces with Rhadoo as Rh.cher for “Drag-o Mir EP”, released on vinyl by Secret Society Chile and backed-up by Edward and Cabanne on remix duties.

With his multidisciplinary work, Traian explores the collapse of the current world and the emergence of new forms from the ruins. His activity moves through shifting temporalities, imagining a post-ecological breakdown where destruction and re-creation coexist. Using symbols like masks, spines and wombs, he depicts an evolving theatre of endurance and transformation. Rooted in the toxicity of Romania’s waste crisis, his practice repurposes discarded materials and personal memories into hybrid ecosystems, reflecting the mutations, shaping our world and prefiguring monstrous futurities.

The journey begins with “Pharmakon”, a shadowy opener driven by murky bass surges, saturated percussion and wisps of airy pads that set an ominous yet immersive tone. Things shift gears with “Poison”, where a shuffled rhythm section takes the lead, layered with breathy vocal fragments and spiralling echoes that dance around gritty bass stabs and ethereal textures. Next up, “Modify Me” pares things down to a stripped, minimal core. Snaking sub-bass lines intertwine with eerie resonant chords, gritty effects and low-slung drums, offering a moment of introspective tension.

Energy rises once more with “Night Sentinel”, a thirteen-minute trip marked by twitching, resonant sequences, throbbing low-end pressure and a crisp, ever-evolving percussion framework that locks you into its magnetic pulse. Our featured track “34” veers into jazz-glitch territory, fusing oscillating synth patterns with smooth, melancholic keys and modulated percussive ticks that blur genre lines with finesse. Finally, the EP closes with “Marketplace Spirituality”, laying down a groove-rich, percussion-led foundation with playful bass stabs and sporadic synth flares weaving together to form an enigmatic finale.
