Romanian artists Rhadoo and Traian Cherecheș team up under the Rh.cher moniker for an exquisite vinyl-only EP for Secret Society Chile, alongside Edward and Cabanne on remix duties. Titled “Drag-o Mir EP”, the record delivers a solid dose of minimal techno designed for introspective moments and peak-time dancefloor sessions alike. The mastering is provided by Mike Grinser at Manmade Mastering studio, while primary support comes from Casa de Salud club in Chile.

In his secret visuals project, Rhadoo delves into abstract textures and organic hues, evoking the complexity of a strange organism with an aesthetic reminiscent of independent cinema. Created in collaboration with renowned contemporary artist Traian Cherecheș, this work stands out for its expressive depth and seamless fusion of music and visual art. Far from being a mere pause in showcasing Chilean painters, this project highlights multifaceted artists who transcend music to convey emotions across various disciplines, a testament to the transformative power of art in all its forms.

Focusing on organic matter and texture, the collaboration between Rhadoo and Traian Cherecheș results in a puzzle that seeks to transform into sounds and/or visuals.

Part of [a:rpia:r] label and RPR Soundsystem, alongside Petre Inspirescu and Raresh, Rhadoo is one of the most influential artists when it comes to minimal, as his legacy resonates not only on the local scene but also well beyond Romanian borders. Since the early ’90s, his vision of modern electronic music became synonymous with the distinctive rominimal sound, which he constantly shaped through his countless performances behind the decks, inspiring collaborative projects and timeless releases under his name or various aliases published by labels like Understand, Cadenza, Amphia, Cocoon, Nervmusic, Draganenii, Fabric London, Minibar, Zebra Records, The Other Side, DisDat and Dilated Records.

Traian Cherecheș is a multidisciplinary artist whose work dissolves the lines between visual art, sculpture and sonic experimentation. With a background in fine arts, he constructs visceral, organic universes as his pieces don’t just sit still, they vibrate with a tension between growth and decay, biology and machinery. Solo or half of the electronic duo TC Studio alongside Tulbure, he has released deep, modular-rooted techno on labels like Archipel, Sleep Is Commercial, Fabric, Placidum, Be Chosen, Oxmose, BP Mind Series, Neostrictly, Memoria Ltd and Metereze, operating in a liminal space where experimental art and electronic music collapse into one hypnotic force.

Opening the EP, the cerebral “Gwen” delivers a soothing minimalist sound powered by liquid synth textures and gloopy organic sounds, paired with dry percussion and swirling, ethereal vocal motifs that lead the journey into an eerie, soulful atmosphere. On the remix, Giegling main man Edward deepens the low-end presence with a heavier, more grounded bassline and prominent shufflig drums, retaining the haunting, minimal essence of the original.

On the flip we find “Zero” which introduces wobbly synth tones that seamlseslly blend with piercing percussion loops, swaggering drum patterns and crisp, icy hi-hats that count as an ideal fit for balanced soundsystems and club settings, while Cabanne‘s reinterpretation strips down the original, maintaining a silky minimal flow with a sharp edge, balancing finesse with a club-ready drive.

Founded by Joaquín Lledó on Viña del Mar’s shores in Chile and now based in Pamplona, Spain, Secret Society functions as a record label, events club and booking agency dedicated to minimal techno and microhouse music for more than a decade. The discography of the main imprint and its sublabel Southern Magic includes entries signed by Bendejo, René Audiard, Shampoo Douglas, Denis Kaznacheev, Mike Shannon, Ewan Jansen, Gari Romalis, Marceline, SIT, Xandru, Frankie M, Tommy Vicari Jnr, Paolo Mosca, Delphie, Crihan and the label head himself, among others.
