Local artist Andu Simion returns to his Bandcamp page, revealing a new series of releases titled “Lost and Found”, focused on publishing unreleased and fresh compositions alike. Episode 1 features four tracks rooted in different yet closely related genres, with mastering provided by Vlad Caia.

Hailing from Ploiești, photographer, DJ, producer and label manager, Andu Simion is a well-known figure in both Romanian and international electronic music scenes, with an activity spanning many years and counting numerous achievements. Over time, he performed at multiple events, released his music through renowned labels and co-founded Lisière Collectif and LSR vinyl series with his friends Dan Gheorghe and Bogdan Ardeleanu. He’s also involved in various collaborative projects, the most recent being Timbral Shift alongside Vlad Arapasu, announced on “Terrific EP” dispatched via Howl Records in May 2025.

Once a month, a new transmission will appear on Bandcamp, lost tracks recovered, new ones unveiled. Each project is lovingly polished and mastered by the one and only Vlad Caia, so they’ll sound as good as they should. In an oversaturated digital landscape where music surfaces and disappears daily, I hope that these tracks earn a lasting spot in your collection… and maybe even on repeat. The EP opens with “Boston Run”, a stripped-down cut designed with microhouse and dub influences, where the reverberating layers of percussion and background chords smoothly incorporate a minimal aesthetic best fitted for introspective moments. Following, our featured track for today “Robots and Computers” gains momentum, delivering a robust sound that sweeps through the frequencies with style, powered by swinging drums, a wobbling bassline, futuristic effects and a guiding vocal sample that delivers a short yet meaningful message.

Next up, “Nanoseconds” aligns to the tempo, taking the journey even further through the use of eerie pads and grouching insertions that create tension and a sense of mystery at the same time, while the closing track, “Slow Spines” switches gears and lays out a warm, pulsating rhythm rooted in downtempo and psychedelic music.
