Romanian electronic music powerhouse Playedby returns to its digital domain with UNDERPLAY02 Various Artists compilation featuring ck (Cristi Klebleev), Victoria, Atmann, DJ Real Madrid, Axel, Vlad Radu, Oros, Emu, Gringow, Nikizi and Tulbure. Delivering an inspiring blend of groovy minimal, house, techno and breakbeat, this VA is definitely something to add to your summer playlist. The mastering is signed by RV Audio.

Founded around 2017, Playedby is a Bucharest-based platform and collective focused on issuing electronic music in both vinyl and digital formats, organising memorable underground events and exporting the unique Romanian sound beyond its borders. Promoting emerging and established artists alike, the label delivers clarity, depth and a vision that deeply resonates with Romania’s evolving club culture and beyond.

Playedby also operates as a physical record shop offering exclusive and limited vinyl releases and merch, while the label’s catalogue includes titles from artists like Robert Istoc, Arapu, Ohm Hourani, SIT, Sublee, Lizz, Ritmico (Emi & Suciu), Elia Nafzger, Pîrvu, Dubtil, Crihan, Steve O’Sullivan, Gojnea76, Cosmjn and Mihigh, among many others.

A prominent figure in Romania’s electronic scene, Tulbure is well-known for weaving timeless minimal techno and microhouse music, with influences from hip‑hop, ambient and cinematic compositions. Over time, his productions have been published by labels like Archipel, Apotek Studio, Pressure Traxx, Music is Art, BP Mind Series, UVAR, Curtea Veche and Magnetic Series, while as one half of the TC Studio project alongside Traian Cherecheș, he delivered immersive live and DJ sets across Europe as well as highly-appreciated releases on Discours, Neostrictly, All Inn Black, Memoria Ltd and Metereze.

Balancing introspective atmospheres, emotional warmth and club‑ready minimalism, UNDERPLAY02 is a coherent mosaic of Romanian underground electronic music that exemplifies Playedby‘s curatorial finesse. The journey delivers 11 tracks crafted for both headphone listening and peak‑time DJ sets, with each artist staking their claim within the genre’s textured palette.
