feeder sound exclusive premiere: Camilo Gil – A Boy Called Zeal (Audio Werner remix) [Rock Tha House Traxx]
Camilo Gil presents the second release under his label Rock Tha House Traxx alongside Mark Ambrose, Gari Romalis and Audio Werner on remix duties. Titled “A Boy Called Zeal”, the record is more than a compilation of tracks, it’s a deeply personal narrative, a sonic letter that bridges the past and present of an artist who has left a lasting impact on both South American and global electronic music scenes.
Mixed and mastered by acclaimed Argentine audio engineer Matias Parisi and with the sleeve artwork designed by Ramon Marquez (Sintra Concept), the vinyl stands out with fluorescent green, black and white colours, solidifying a distinct and memorable visual identity complemented by a sound quality that’s second to none.
The story of Rock Tha House Traxx began in the early 2000s as an iconic electronic music event in Chile that later evolved into a booking platform that brought legends like Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, Rick Wade, Daniel Bell, Mark Broom, Eddie Richards, Move D and Derrick May to the country. Now, from the dancefloor to the turntable, the label managed by Camilo Gil and Mexico City’s own Mario Flores Monico aims to preserve and revitalise the essence of electronic music, building a bridge between generations, styles, countries and continents. The first vinyl was released last year and featured Nima Gorji, Quenum, Carlo Gambino and Mihai Popoviciu.
The EP’s title pays homage to Camilo Gil‘s early days as a graffiti artist, tagging the streets of Santiago de Chile under his alias like a curious young soul driven to explore art in every form. Three decades later, that same restless creativity resurfaces in “A Boy Called Zeal”, crafted with his MPC2000, Electribe and analog software, delivering a sound that’s raw, authentic and rich with character. In collaboration with his manager, Mariana Orsho (Suena Agency), who contributed poems and narratives inspired by the inked dreams of 90s Santiago and London’s underground, Camilo turns this release into a musical story, where each track represents a chapter in his life.
On Side A, the original mix delivers a journey through American deep house, UK garage-style basslines and an unexpected breakbeat drop that captures both the street vibes and dancefloor energy at the same time. The vocal sample delivers a powerful message, adding extra spice to the whole. Following, the legendary UK techno-house pioneer Mark Ambrose provides a hypnotic and deep rework, perfect for the early morning sunrise.

On the flipside Detroit house master Gari Romalis wraps the original cut in a soul-infused, trippy atmosphere with the warmth only the Motor City can deliver, while Berlin’s sonic wizard Audio Werner takes the track to its most explosive and groovy form, which already resonates in numerous clubs and festivals around the world.
Distributed by Carpets & Snares (Lisbon, Portugal), the EP arrives in a limited number of only 300 copies and already enjoys support from artists like Raresh, Chez Damier, Halo Varga, Losoul, Sonja Moonear, DJ Jes, Timo Maas, Eddie Richards, Norm Talley, Terry Francis, Politics of Dancing, Djebali, Franco Cinelli and Marko Nastic, among others.
