Buta Records returns with the 14th instalment in its digital catalogue with K-lil at the controls dropping three steaming tracks in the form of “Over & Over EP.” Infused with elegant minimal house, breaks and deep flavours, the EP delivers a warm and engaging sound best-fitted for afternoon sessions and the afterhours. The artwork is signed by Nicolas Barnes and the mastering by Kondo.
Khalil Menidjah aka K-lil is a rising Algerian DJ and producer with releases on Metronome Records, Microlabelsp Records, Melatune, Celestum, Minikron, Direkt Records and Intelligent Sound. With a strong passion for music from an early age, he started his journey by playing various instruments and exploring different genres, including modern electronic music. Fascinated by minimal, he crafted his identity by combining rhythms characterised by crispy percussion and eastern atmospheric sounds.

Opening the EP, the title track “Over & Over” lays out a steady-paced minimal house groove designed with punchy percussion, extended background textures and looping vocal samples that create tension throughout the journey while conveying a strong message related to the rhythm.
Following, “Dirty Speaker” switches gears and delivers a deep sonic affair powered by broken beats, a wobbling bassline, melancholic atmospheres and lush breakdowns where the vocals kick in again while the closing cut “Unconfirmed” smoothly blends deep house with tech house in a spiralling sound perfect for the afterhours.
