Presenting itself as a company which offers its customers the opportunity to go back in time to make better choices and influence their future, Kairos Corp steps into the scene with its first vinyl release signed by Irish DJ and producer Darren Allen. Titled “Beyond Causality EP”, the record delivers a solid dose of minimal techno with an experimental edge, showcasing the artist’s distinct vision on electronic music.

Hailing from Northern Ireland, Darren Allen is a well-known figure in the underground scene, with releases on labels like Discobar, GOSU, Future Plans, Tancido, Albeit Records, Small Hours and his own playgrounds, Underlying Form and Disassembling the Ordinary.

Side A opens with “Identity Virus”, a pumping composition infused with gritty stripped-down drumming patterns, trippy synth rotations, carefully placed breakdowns and a twisted progression designed for peak-time moments at any party. Following, “Fourth Way” continues the journey on the same vibe, delivering an equally engaging groove powered by minimalistic percussion, dynamic rhythm switches and a hypnotic background loop that constantly builds tension.

On the flip we first find “Dumbah” laying out an uplifting carousel of punchy 4/4 drums, psychedelic effects and spiralling synth arpegios that can easily take any dancefloor by storm, while “Abacus” closes the 12″ with a grungy deep techno sound fueled by an uptempo ticking beat elegantly complemented by ethereal atmospheres.
