After a successful debut last year with Mihai Pol‘s “Right Now EP”, Birmingham-based electronic music powerhouse Dubøka Records presents the 2nd vinyl release on their sub-label Blanc with Ukrainian artist Silat Beksi at the controls alongside Fedo on remix duties. Titled “Recognition EP”, the record drops an enveloping sound designed with finely tuned minimal house and tech house elements, capturing the essence of both genres with elegance.

With constant activity in the studio, behind the decks or managing his label Modeight, Silat Beksi is always in the game delivering top-quality music to the people. Aside from his independent releases, his latest works have been published through labels like Aurum, Akta Records, Buta Records, Saraw, Tzinah, Juuz and Micronica Records.

Side A opens with the title track “Recognition”, a vibrant yet deep composition powered by swinging percussive patterns that smoothly intertwine with wobbling dubby chords and phased synth stabs that have an irresistible funky flavour while “Sparkling Mouth” continues the journey on a more electric tone, infused with hypnotic vocals and psychedelic vibes that call for a dance.

On the flip, the artist switches gears and we first find the original version of “Speak In A Whisper”, a ticking minimal techno bomb that has all the ingredients necessary to be heard at peak-time moments at any party worldwide while Fedo closes the EP with his stellar afterhours remix, adding extra time-stretched layers and dark tones perfect for dimly-lighted dancefloors.
