From the most recent recordings to acclaimed classics our timeline will bounce here and there, and so will the tempo. Let’s dive in!

Guy From Downstairs – EKOES 001 / Cadenza (2025)

At the end of March, the notorious Switzerland-based record label Cadenza launched EKOES, a new series of exclusive 3-hour DJ mixes, curated by forward-thinking artists who shape electronic music’s underground. The first episode features local DJ and producer Guy From Downstairs, a well-known figure in the international scene. The artist delivers a unique combination of sounds, merging ambient, leftfield, electro, acid house and twisted techno into an inspiring flow of rhythms and textures.

Nicolas Barnes – Dubbism #269 / Piranha Siberia (2025)

On the 2nd of March, the dub techno label and podcast channel Piranha Siberia invited ECOUL SND’s own Nicolas Barnes to drop episode 269 of their ongoing and highly appreciated Dubbism series. The Latvian artist presents an immersive journey into the realms of dub techno, highlighting the genre’s deep and dreamy atmospheres through a meticulously chosen selection of tracks designed for a captivating listening experience.

Mischa Blanos – Live at Rex Club in Paris / CrazyJack Night (2024)

On January 26th, 2024, Mischa Blanos headlined an unforgettable night hosted by the CrazyJack team at the renowned Rex Club in Paris with Lowris b2b Ramona Yacef and Khloe Patra as supportive acts. His live performance incorporated pumping techno beat loops, jazzy elements, hypnotic background atmospheres, extended breakdowns and, of course, meandering piano interventions that took the dancefloor by storm and exhibited his amazing skills as a pianist, composer and producer once more.

Barac – Shamandrum Session 002 / Moment Records (2024)

About a year ago, Barac released Shamandrum Session 002 on behalf of Shamandrum and Moment Records, showcasing an entrancing blend of his own productions, mastered by Rob Small. Perfect for late-night sessions or immersive dancefloor experiences, the mix features the artist’s fingerprint sound, taking the listener on an enchanting voyage into deep minimal grooves and ambient soundscapes infused with tribal motifs, evoking a shaman’s mystical journey of both discovery and exploration of other realms.

Sahau (Dan Andrei, Kozo, Paul Agripa) – Promo Mix / fabric London (2020)

After several appearances at Sunwaves and Waha festivals in Romania and three EPs released through local imprint Zimbru, Dan Andrei, Kozo and Paul Agripa aka Sahau teamed up for their first live performance in a club setting in London as part of fabric‘s showcase events in February 2020. Before the event, they dispatched a Promo Mix that’s impossible to overlook and hard not to enjoy. The trio came forward with a truly unique mix of minimal, breakbeat, IDM and leftfield grooves, all intertwined into an organic live recording with an experimental edge.

Vlad Caia – Live w. Ortaku at Un-hidden Bucharest exhibition (2023)

After composing the soundtrack for Pisica Pătrată‘s street art intervention at Romexpo in Bucharest in August 2023, the well-known local artist Vlad Caia got behind the decks and his gear at the Un-hidden Bucharest street art & graffiti exhibition hosted by Lente as part of our feeder art & sound LIVE project alongside Ortaku, who engaged in an impressive live-painting session, creating intricate patterns on a large canvas which perfectly fit the eerie, abstract and twisted vibes of the music.

Toki Fuko – Live at Zvook Festival / Hypnus Records (2024)

With all tracks written and performed live by Toki Fuko at the Zvook Festival in 2024, page 136 of Hypnus Records‘ acclaimed series The Memoir unveils a spirited sonic affair that explores the vast dimensions of ambient, drone and deep techno. Pulsating low-end layers, evolving textures, time-stretched drums and guiding vocals offer a meditative and weaving auditory landscape for the mind, body and soul.

Lost Souls of Saturn (Seth Troxler & Phil Moffa) – Live at Sonic Cloisters x MetLiveArts (2021)

In June 2021, Lost Souls of Saturn, the collaborative project between Seth Troxler and Phil Moffa, offered a one-of-a-kind live session for Sonic Cloisters, a series of site-specific electronic music performances part of MetLiveArts programme of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Dedicated exclusively to the art and architecture of the Middle Ages, the museum’s interior served as inspiration for the two artists, who presented an avant-garde live set using their finest analogue gear. From ghostly drones and leftfield improvisations to lush ambient insertions, the spirit of experimentation weaves through every layer, blurring boundaries and reshaping possibilities.

Donato Dozzy – Kosmische Labyrinth mix / mnml ssgs (2010)

Almost 15 years have passed since Donato Dozzy’s Kosmische Labyrinth mix for mnml ssgs series has been released and it’s just about right to say that this one is a cult classic. The setting for this recording has a special background story and it focuses on exploring Krautrock music of the early and mid-70s, laying out timeless tracks by Neu!, Ash Ra Tempel, Kraftwerk, Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream, Amon Duul II and Popol Vuh.

This selection follows up on two other lists focused on the same concept so we invite you to discover more inspiring experimental sets from the first and second articles.
