Italian producer Berny and Mexican artist Mijo team up for a high-energy release titled Papaya on the ever-reliable Phisica. Following the success of Veneno, Berny revisits the label with a fresh collaboration that fuses early 90s rave aesthetics with contemporary indie dance and acid house influences.
NANANANA opens the EP with lo-fi hypnotic vocals and raw percussive energy, instantly recalling the sweat-drenched raves of decades past. The title track, Papaya, is a floor-ready acid workout built around a sharp 303 bassline and distinctive Spanish vocal samples, offering an unmistakable character.
