Kirill Kashatskikh aka Ki.Mi. teams up with doradice. for “Construction R”, Kashatskikh‘s 18th vinyl release, alongside Alexander Matchak on remix duties. The record builds upon an amazing ongoing concept series launched by the Russian artist in 2018, focusing on deep minimal house and techno music that showcases a genuine love for music and the twists and turns of life.

Ki.Mi. is a DJ, producer, mastering engineer and electronic music teacher hailing from Saint Petersburg, Russia, with an extended background in the minimal scene since 1999. In time, he collaborated with labels like Hausbeat Bag, The Flame Recordings, Instabil, Particles, Forza Mint, Microbios Records, MixCult, Afterme, Stackenschneider and Gjidoda Music, among others. For this 12″ he joins forces with Nikita Dorofeev aka doradice., known for his releases with DP-6 Records, ElectronicMusic.FM, Deep Affairs Music and Evaporate as well as with Alexander Matchak for a stunning remix for the opening track.

Side A kicks off with “Blur”, a steady-paced composition infused with microhouse and dub elements that create an immersive affair as the track slowly unfolds. The reverberating chords and ethereal atmospheres are carefully expanded by Alexander Matchak in his reinterpretation, maintaining the mood while taking the original into a deeper sonic journey.

On the flip “Mirage” lays out an enveloping sound powered by electric and psychedelic elements smoothly calibrated by lush breathing moments and stripped-down drumming patterns while the closing cut “Ways” dives deep into a spacious dimension designed with hypnotic broken beats and delayed chords, perfect for the afterhours.
