Romanian artist Mihai Pol announces the first release from his freshly founded record label Griffith to arrive soon at selected record stores worldwide. At the heart of the release is “Nineteen”, a long-awaited gem produced in 2020, which is elegantly complemented by three equally refined productions, perfect for the dancefloor. The mastering has been handled by Mike Grinser on behalf of Manmade Mastering studio in Berlin.

Well-known for his instinctive approach to groove and atmosphere, Mihai Pol crafts music that feels organic and immersive, drawing subtle influences from the world around him. Hailing from Brașov, Romania, he left a promising IT career to pursue his passion for electronic music, gaining recognition in 2016 with the release of “Goneta” EP on Capodopere. Since that moment he steadily expanded his discography, releasing timeless productions via labels like Tzinah, Lokomotiv, CerSenin, Synesthesia, Otaku, Feno Volana, Atipic, Subtil, Curtea Veche, Abartik, Aurum and Hashplant, among others. As a DJ, he performed in underground venues and festivals worldwide, captivating audiences with his ability to blend rhythm and storytelling in his sets.

Side A opens with “Nineteen”, a steady-paced composition defined by a hypnotic groove and a striking synth that almost sounds like a human voice. The track has become one of Mihai’s most anticipated cuts, impossible to forget once heard. Following, “Lazer” drops an uptempo groove powered by melancholic tones and deep house elements perfect for the afterhours.

On the flip we first find “Little Bit”, a pumping dancefloor tool designed with classic house influences highlighted by swinging percussion patterns, spiralling synth work and catchy vocal samples while “Electric Night” closes the EP with an equally engaging sound flavoured with dub elements that create an immersive flow.
