Following the launch of our new feeder sound digital series on Bandcamp with Lizz at the controls, we’re thrilled to announce the second title “Glimpse of the past EP” featuring Cristian Munteanu aka Cristi Cons. The material delivers two distinct tracks that explore different genres, laying out uplifting and introspective moods that stand out as yet another example of the artist’s craftsmanship when it comes to electronic music.

A graduate of the National Music Academy in Bucharest with advanced cello studies, Cristi Cons explored music in all its variety and complexity, gradually navigating towards modern electronic music, his main focus today. In time, he built his international reputation going from timeless performances to acclaimed ongoing collaborations and amazing releases on renowned record labels such as [a:rpia:r], Local Records, Meander, Serialism, AdMaiora Music, Fuse London, Adam’s Bite, Berg Audio, Understand and Amphia, a beacon for minimal techno, microhouse and closely related styles co-founded with Vlad Caia, who’s also behind the mastering for this EP.

His intricate, groovy and hypnotic sound, often blending deep, minimalistic beats with subtle textures can be heard in his solo works as well as in the productions released alongside Vlad Caia as SIT or Amorf, with Mischa Blanos joining the duo’s captivating live acts.

Designed with prominent tech house and minimal influences, “Nervous” opens the EP with wobbling bass chords setting a specific swing for the percussive layers and the electro-infused stabs that call for a dance.

In contrast, the title track “Glimpse of the past” reveals an immersive composition which dives deep into breakbeat, ambient and dub. Here, mysterious vocal reverberations and ethereal atmospheres morph into a hypnotic sonic affair, taking the journey well beyond the edge of imagination.
