feeder sound exclusive premiere: Railean – Passive Aggressive EP (w. Oleg Makovskiy Remix) [CULT.beat]
Ukrainian electronic music outlet CULT.beat returns to its digital catalogue with the fifth release in the series. Titled “Passive Aggressive EP”, the material showcases Railean, an up-and-coming DJ and producer from Moldova who drops three minimal-infused tracks while Oleg Makovskiy takes on remix duties. The mastering was made by label head Osvit and the artwork is signed by Dima Phase.
CULT.beat is widely known in the electronic music scene, being behind numerous amazing events and releases in both vinyl and digital formats. Among the collaborating artists we find Peshka, Paul K, VENDi, CL-ljud, Never Alone In A Dark Room, Dragomir, Veruh, Clock Poets and Yansima.
“Amazed that you are a maze” reveals a deep minimalistic composition crafted with quirky slow-paced drums, morphing basslines, twisted background effects and a hypnotic oriental melody in focus that maintains a mysterious atmosphere throughout the track.
The other two original tracks, “Passive Aggressive” and “Peace and Ease”, are equally entrancing, delivering clean broken beats and encompassing textures, perfect for late-night sets and immersive listening journeys. Each piece has just the right amount of mood and rhythm. Oleg’s remix of the title track adds extra colour by pushing the tempo higher, adding more percussion and complementary elements.
