After five vinyl-only instalments featuring Dragutesku, Piktor, Oana, Bucurie and Unisson, as well as the three volumes of “Peace in Ukraine” Various Artists compilations, we’re happy to announce a new series of digital releases coming to our feeder sound label. The first title, “Intoxicated EP”, is brought forward by Petre Vali aka Lizz, who’s no stranger to our EP Reviews and Exclusive Premieres website sections. The material presents two tracks designed with uplifting tech house and minimal grooves, to which subtle electro influences are added for extra flavour. Vlad Caia mastered the tracks, and Pisica Pătrată signed the artwork.

Growing a strong passion for electronic music since he was very young, Lizz constantly worked on sharpening his mixing and production skills, steadily building a name for himself on both local and international scenes. After his debut in the early 2010s and the residency at Club Midi in Cluj-Napoca, things got really exciting for him as his DJ sets and first releases caught the attention of many established artists such as Petre Inspirescu, Rhadoo, Barac and Mihigh. From then on he’s been a constant presence in the electronic music scene, touring the country and the world while also joining the Sunwaves and Mioritmic crews in 2016.

Aside from his energetic performances, he always found time to spend in the studio and unleash his creativity. In time, his discography grew from independent releases on Bandcamp to memorable records published by labels like Music is Art, Eastenderz, Melodrom, Windmühle, Sleep is Commercial, Moment, Atipic, Rawax, Hashplant, Acmé, UVAR and Why So Series. Recently, he teamed up with old-time friend and collaborator Cosmjn for RADI001, the first pressing coming from their freshly founded imprint Radial Records.

Opening the EP, “Sci Fi” drops a pumping beat that constantly rumbles through the frequencies. It gets smoothly complemented by a funky buzzing bassline, echoing vocal samples and twisted dubby insertions, making it perfect for any party’s peak moments.

Following, “The grief” switches gears for a deeper minimal sound while maintaining that specific dancefloor vibe. Here, the haunting atmospheres and effects deliver a darker outcome, making this cut a truly hypnotic sonic journey.
