feeder sound exclusive premiere: Brizman – Extended Life [Silvi]
Brizman returns to his record label Silvi with the imprint’s 3rd vinyl release titled “Extended Life”, which offers three finely tuned tracks that push the boundaries of minimal house.
Renowned for his intricate soundscapes and deep, hypnotic grooves, Roy Brizman has steadily earned a respected place in the underground scene. His latest EP highlights his skill in crafting immersive atmospheres and driving rhythms, seamlessly blending subtle textures with layered precision. Previous releases include collaborations with platforms like Artreform, Subtil, Caprices Music, Adam’s Bite, SCI + TEC, Pleasure Zone and VDK, among others.
“This EP is quite special to me. Like all Silvi releases it has an emotional meaning and you can hear it in the music. What I am trying to do and hopefully succeed is to channel my feelings to the audience and also to the dancefloor. I guess the EP can be listened to or danced to in various locations.”
“Tokyo Nights” closes the EP with a hypnotic energy powered by a dynamic progression of groovy drumming patterns, shuffling complementary layers and echoing Japanesse chords that provide a beautiful transition halfway into the track. This one is definitely designed to keep the crowd moving into the early hours at any party, anywhere.
The title track “Extended Life” opens the 12″ with a steady-paced captivating journey through pulsating basslines, stretched background atmospheres, delicate percussion and a mysterious vocal sample evoking Frank Herbert’s Dune while “Milly” reveals a heartfelt vibe that serves as a love letter to Roy’s daughter. This composition was made in collaboration with gifted bass guitarist Lea Hart and adds a personal touch to everything.
