Before closing out the year, the Valencia-based duo Deeplomat & Dublatov aims to treat us to a final touch: the first preview of their upcoming LP Ambidextros, set to release in March 2025.

Masca is the title of the first track. Undoubtedly, it’s a piece designed to short-circuit—in the best possible way—the minds of fans of danceable electronic music crafted with expressive analogue chains and elements. Alternatively, it might be a treat for fans of projects like Bochum Welt, Cignol, A Split Second, DMX Krew, or John Tejada.

The resurgence of machines on the dance floor is a constant—and this duo revels in it. They own them, and tinkering with these devices is pure fun for them.

It’s easy to get swept away. The patterns and rhythmic foundation evolve and expand in Masca. Multiple basslines, synths, and stabs weave together into a cadenced journey driven by energy and dynamism. Once again, their passion for creating music that channels swing and groove in a direct, persistent way takes centre stage. Their studio sessions and live performances are the ideal breeding ground for futuristic synth melodies and structures as playful as they are eccentric. Improvisation, frenzy, and expansion to achieve a proper groove. And this is just the first glimpse of a new LP—let’s not forget their previous one, Dream Dome—where they once again reimagine timeless genres like electro, synth-disco, new wave, techno, and leftfield house.
