Serialism Records welcomes back the Korean-Japanese producer, DJ, visual artist and label boss Red Pig Flower with her second release on the label titled “Whispering Mouse EP”. The material delivers a masterful blend of minimal, tech house and twisted techno, packed into four club-ready tools, two hypnotic originals and two remixes, one from Berlin-based Weg and one from Brussels’s power duo Dimitri Andreas and Igor Vicente. The EP is wrapped in stunning artwork signed by the talented Fernanda Mattos, completing the immersive experience.

Well-known for her multidisciplinary work in the fields of art and music, Red Pig Flower loves to experiment, each time bringing forward amazing projects. Throughout time she performed at numerous events around the world and released her music via labels like Frucht, Runemark, Plus Records, Baile Musik, Houph, Work In Progress, Vandalism Black Series, Entail Records, mousikētekhnē, Serialism Records and, of course, her own Sound of Vast.

“Arab Hypo” opens the EP with a vibrant sound which incorporates a mystic vibe highlighted by the background layers and complementary samples designed around oriental influences. There’s also a rumbling and wobbling arpeggio that elegantly blends with prominent drumming patterns, ethereal flutes and subtle vocals, creating a hypnotic effect.

Following, the title track “Whispering Mouse” switches gears to tech house, dropping a haunting dancefloor banger perfect for a midnight extravaganza while Dimitri Andreas and Igor Vicente bring a progressive twist to the original with their remix, closing the EP with style. Our featured track also receives a solid reinterpretation, having Weg offer a refined microhouse version, adding contrasting yet complementary flavours to the whole journey.
