Felipe Valenzuela & Dorian Paic – A Way To Make It Work EP [Oven Sound]

After a successful debut on vinyl signed by Sueezo, the Valencian crew behind Oven Sound features Felipe Valenzuela and Dorian Paic on the label’s second release, both part of the Oven Club family and key figures in the underground scene. Titled “A Way To Make It Work”, the EP drops four uplifting cuts designed with deep minimal grooves and funky microhouse elements. Produced in different periods of their lives, the tracks combine all that experience into this unique release.

premiere: Les – Enchantica EP (incl. Mortalyf Remix) [Leftback Intercities]

Les brings forward “Enchantica EP” for the 17th instalment in Leftback Intercities‘ digital catalogue, bringing his eclectic, mystical beats to the roster, accompanied by label co-honcho Mortalyf on remix duties. The mastering is signed by Mark Pearson (Play Mastering), and the artwork is by James Micallef. Part of London’s underground label Obscure Rhythms, Les is recognised for his distinct approach to minimal as well as for his releases with Saraw, Implimind, Deep Water Culture and BP1 Records.

Getting To Know… Jay Vegas 

“I’m a UK-based DJ and producer. I’ve been DJing and making music for 30-odd years now. My music has been released on all the household brands: Subliminal, Toolroom, Ministry of Sound, Cream, Hed Kandi, etc. I started making music by chance. I met a guy who had a studio in his cellar in the 80’s. I was recording a demo at his studio with a band I played keyboards for at the time. I asked if I could hire the studio to record ideas for some house tunes I’d been working on. He said yes. He was also into the house, so we became friends and started producing together, and the rest is history. We’re still good friends now.”

Woman Scars opening at the centre Zi de Bine

On Friday, November 8, at 18.00, the Woman Scars exhibition will take place at the Community Center Zi de BINE ( 150 Uranus Street, 1st floor). The exhibition will remain open to the public until November 15.

Woman Scars is a photo-audio project that brings together portraits of women on whose bodies time has left the scars of adverse life events: illness, surgery, loss, accidents, abuse, events that, far from being a disability, have transformed the bearers into stronger, wiser, more confident, freer women.
