Giorgio Robles & Herman Saiz – Frequency EP [Sounds of Sirius]
Sounds of Sirius is back with the label’s 9th vinyl-only release titled “Frequency EP” signed by Chilean friends Giorgio Robles and Herman Saiz. The record delivers one original track and three amazing remixes from Silat Beksi, Ted Amber and Cirkel Square.
Announced to arrive soon at selected record stores worldwide, this 12″ is bound to set the imprint’s distinct take on modern electronic music even further, delivering yet another catalogue blast, which also features artists like Santi, Mihai Pol, Last Pines, Nibaaldo, Enzo Leep, Swoy, Venda, Etro Hahn, Guy From Downstairs and Denis Kaznacheev.
Side A opens with the title track, a slow-paced intricate groove perfect for the afterhours. Take some laid-back drumming patterns and dubby insertions, mix them up with trippy effects and inspiring vocal patterns and here you go, a perfect tool for warming things up. Following, Silat Beksi‘s remix takes the tempo up a notch, laying out a wobbling rhythm fueled by solid percussion and phased layers, so get ready to dance!
On the flip we first have Ted Amber‘s twisted reinterpretation, designed with swirling sequences, loops and psychedelic chords going “deep deep low” while extended breathing moments set up Circkel Square‘s closing take on the original, a bubbly and cosmic affair of progressive, minimal and psytrance elements combined. Activate!
