This Friday we travel to the USA in order to discover and enjoy Deku’s distinct approach to electronic music.
With intense activity in the underground electronic music scene for quite some time now, Miami-based DJ and producer Deku always delivers good vibes through his unique selections and inspiring productions. Aside from unforgettable parties in his hometown, throughout time he performed in various locations across the United States, Mexico, Spain and Romania while putting out some of his own works via labels like Saraw, Nightclubber.ro, Iunsub, Archipel (under the Primi moniker) and miNIMMAl movement.
Deku‘s journey into the minimal techno and microhouse sound dimensions started when he was very young, influenced by the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Radiq, Fumiya Tanaka, Rhadoo and Pheek, among others. His love for stripped-down rhythms and textures slowly propelled him to the forefront of Miami’s clubbing culture, being booked for his first gigs when he was around 16 years old. Now, he constantly digs for records and carefully crafts his productions, always pushing the boundaries of electronic music, looking for the perfect setting to deliver to his listeners, whether we talk about peak time or afterhours moments.
“Exploring textures, hypnotic rhythms, immersive tones and forgotten tracks.”
