Introducing and welcoming your ears to a newly established label Above The Watering Hole (A T W H)
A T W H has been around for just over a year to this date, with a successful podcast and event series they’ve drummed up interest amongst the keen enthusiasts for the original side of Minimal, Deep & Tech House. After the chief (Luke Humbles) had wrapped up a few of his first EP’s and started demoing them to labels, he faced the same process most early producers do. With a long list of rejections accompanied with some gentle motivating words he looked for a way to break the cycle.
With his ambitions already set on launching A T W H as a record label in 2024, he took matters into his own hands and scheduled their first release ahead of these plans. A T W H reached out to secret weapon in the dance community hyPRnova to build what became to be an incredibly successful first PR campaign, ATWH001 began receiving international radio plays and made it’s way to crates of some renowned industry heads and DJs also including some special premieres from industry renowned channels.
ATWH001 is a 3 piece EP packed with bouncy basslines, driving percussion and evolving synthwork. The energy of the EP shifts linearly from the groovy ‘Jungle Bounce’ to the dance floor driver ‘Fading Memories‘. ‘WYWD’ is the title track of the EP featuring amalgamating synth work to suck the crowd in before slapping in a tasty vocal hook and dropping them back into the groove.
