Kaesar – Paralio EP (w. Cosmjn remix) [Hubble Recordings]
The 5th vinyl-only instalment coming from Hubble Recordings sees Portuguese DJ and producer Kaesar delivering three original tracks alongside a steaming remix signed by local artist Cosmjn. Titled “Paralio EP”, the record sure delivers serious minimal sounds which will not leave anyone indifferent on the dancefloor while marking the artist’s solo debut on vinyl. The release features an exclusive design and a special edition that includes an A3 Risograph print along with a bonus track.
With an extended digital collection and vinyl releases by Octave, Alex Pervukhin, Miroloja and Costin Rp, Hubble Recordings has been a constant presence in the underground electronic music scene. Kaesar‘s tracks were heard several times throughout last year so it’s definitely a moment to rejoice to see them finally come out.
Side A opens with “O Bigode Do Dali”, an uplifting groove designed with prominent drumming patterns, a wobbly bassline and dreamy background textures that create a hypnotic atmosphere from the very first second to the last. Following, “Aravia” goes even deeper, exploring the limitless possibilities of minimal techno with a stripped-down sound powered by shuffling percussive cuts, plucked synth stabs and spacious breakdowns.
On the flipside we find the title track “Paralio” and Cosmjn‘s remix. While the original carries on with the energy from Side A and lays out yet another dancefloor tool, the reinterpretation receives a funky treatment flavoured with tech-house elements and subtle acidic inserts. A must-have 12″ for collectors and selectors alike!
