After a steaming debut with userUNKNWN & Soyro followed by an amazing second release signed by Balinsky, Vietnamese imprint Rhanamh returns with “Memory EP” delivered by Particular’s head chef Daniel Broesecke alongside local artist VincentIulian on remix duties. Early support arrives from artists like Herodot, Silat Beksi, Gescu, Ted Amber, Vern, Vlad Arapasu, Triptil and others.
Heading Vivus Records alongside Tobi More since 2016 and Particular since 2018 respectively, Daniel Broesecke has definitely managed to leave his fingerprint sound on modern electronic music, either through his own productions, remixes or edits, as well as the releases he published via his labels. Aside from this, he also worked with Curtea Veche, Olo Records, UVAR, Transient London Records, Juuz and Duboka Records. A well-known figure in both Romanian and international scenes, VincentIulian joins in with a bubbly remix, completing this EP with style.
On Side A we find the title track “Memory”, a warm composition smoothly balanced by a steady-paced rhythm that leads ever-evolving background textures to morph in and out of focus. The spacious breakdowns create a meandering effect that makes this cut perfect for the morning afterhours or laid-back afternoon sessions.
On the flipside “Wasted Time” goes even deeper, laying out a stripped-back groove flavoured with bright synth melodies and reverberating effects while VincentIulian‘s remix transforms A1 into a dancefloor-oriented tool that can be played at peak times at any party.
