Next up on Vlad Arapasu‘s vinyl Kontent is local artist Vid who drops three fresh stripped-down and low-slung cuts, perfect for the dancefloor. Arriving just in time for the winter season, “Kontent 005” adds even more magic to the label’s catalogue which also includes amazing productions from artists like Macarie, Leanca, Chrivu, Hippex, Kivva, Sonohat and label head himself. The artwork is signed by Emilian Jamschek.

An|dromeda’s head chef Sorin Rastoaca aka Vid has been really active lately, bringing forward one amazing release after another while also taking remix duties for carefully picked artists out there. His most recent endeavours include collaborations with labels like Sounds of Sirius, DUB Musik Limited, UVAR, Afterhours, Rawax and Visage Ltd, while in the past he worked with Sound Of Vast, Hashplant, Forever And A Day, Otaku, Pleasure Zone and Memoria Recordings, among others.

Designed with the artist’s fingerprint style, “Red” drops a solid minimal techno sound elegantly crafted with glitched patterns, twisted overlayed textures and a constant drive that creates an eerie yet steaming atmosphere. A distinct dark mood looms over the whole track yet it never morphs into something stranger than it already is.

The other two tracks, “Upsidedown” and “Away” are equally mysterious and engaging, creating an intricate yet straightforward story that definitely has to be told by skilled selectors on dimly lighted dancefloors worldwide. The steady-paced rhythm of the whole EP easily leads to a stomping affair, fueled by hypnotic arrangements, quirky soundscapes and potent drumming sequences. A must-have for collectors and selectors alike!
