Fafo Records welcomes Cirkel Square to its extended catalogue with “Running Visions EP” which comes all flavoured up with steaming remixes from Vincent Casanova and userUNKNWN. Delivering intense minimal techno and microhouse vibes, the record adds extra magic to the label’s discography which includes releases from artists like Nektar Agu, Burak Baban, Giorgio Robles, Lascu, Felipe Martinez and Ody Dozz, among others.

Cirkel Square has seamlessly formulated an array of audible bliss, somewhat effortlessly encapsulated throughout each of his groove-driven works, some published through imprints such as Tied, Tzinah Records, Bosom LTD, Storytellers as well as our third volume of “Peace in Ukraine” Various Artists series. This record makes no exception from his inspiring style as well as the guest’s fingerprint sound, laying out beautiful rhythms and textures perfect for the dancefloor. Let’s dive in and explore the tracks in more detail.

“Running” opens the EP with a warm and breezy soundscape that can make anyone daydream about dancing on the beach on a hot summer day in seconds. The feeling is provided by the drums and the shade by the complementary chords and spiralling effects.

Vincent Casanova‘s reinterpretation drops next, revealing an electric and uplifting take on the original, perfect for peak-time moments at any party. Here, the bassline follows a different course, going deep into electro and funky swings while the mysterious yet inviting vocals call for a dance.

On the flipside we first find the meandering sounds of “Visions”, an immersive composition designed with progressive influences, dubby chords, hypnotic arrangements and intriguing breakdowns, carefully placed in order to create spacious harmonics.

Closing the release, userUNKNWN‘s remix adds an extra uplifting touch to the original cut, dropping a steaming and psychedelic vibe that flows into an organic rotation of all the elements that reminds us of early takes on psytrance and minimal techno.
