For this episode of our ongoing podcast series, we invite up-and-coming local artist Wadafack to get you into that special weekend mood, so you better put on your dancing shoes and start warming up.

Inspired by the love of electro music made by artists like Deadmau5, Daniel Dumitru aka Wadafack composed his first track entitled “Nema” at the age of 15. He chose the name “Wadafack” because he was amazed that the first song he wrote received such good feedback from his friends.

Since that moment he started to explore various styles and genres, settling for a distinct combination of minimal techno, microhouse and deep house rhythms and textures. He also participated in two of our Open Calls, once back in 2020 with an inspiring DJ set and more recently with three fresh own productions which are available on his Bandcamp page. Aside from this, Daniel also collaborated with labels like Sezonaz, Neu Gravity, Tiefenherz, CerSenin Records and Ensis Black.

“This set represents the power of the 4 channels flow. There are continuum improvisations with unknown sounds manipulated.”
