Aron – ABATCS006 [Abartik]

The next sonic journey to arrive from the Basel-based venture Abartik delivers four top-notch minimal cuts signed by Dinghy’s head chef Aron. Packing a solid minimal swing, the record adds extra spice to the label’s discography which includes titles from artists like Jerome.c, Brett Jacobs, Vid, Denis Kaznacheev, Cosmjn, Lumieux, Mihai Pol and Christopher Ledger, among others.

With releases on imprints like Aku, Bleu Ciel, Aimed and Sintope Vinyl Series as well as countless performances under his belt, Aron has been a truly passionate and dedicated presence in the Swiss underground electronic music scene for quite some time now. Nowadays, you can find him regularly mixing at The Hidden Club in Solothurn or at the Supermarket Club in Zurich, sharing the decks with artists like Alci, Priku, Cumuli & Bvrton, Giuli, Marques Sigi and Romar, to name just a few.

The EP opens with the warm sounds of “Aebleskiver”, a truly immersive composition that takes influence from minimal, dub techno and electric synthwave flavours, laying out a hypnotic ride perfect for the dancefloor. Next up there’s “Mazar”, a steaming four-to-the-floor groove that delivers an uplifting story whispered through the frequencies with style.

On the flipside we first find the deep and dubby reverberations of “Foret”, a handy tool for those moments right before the early vibes of the afterhours kick in and the steaming swing of “Roll The Dice”, which switches gears and takes the tempo up a notch with an alluring funky rhythm powered by carefully selected complementary layers and effects.
