For this episode of our podcast series we invite French artist KLoD to deliver an inspiring vinyl set in order to warm you up for the upcoming weekend.
Born in Paris and now based in Montpellier, Mr Claude aka KLoD is a DJ, producer, founder and owner of ACE Prod.music34 with a strong passion for electronic music. When he was young, he started learning about music theory and trombone but it was at the age of 17 that he discovered goa trance and rave music by listening to local radio stations, setting him on a path of discovery as he decides to buy his first belt-mounted vinyl turntables and begin mixing with his friends.
In 2001 KLoD joins the artist roster at Oxygène Records and enjoys a residency at Pop Arts Café while travelling across France and playing at various events, setting up his strong return in 2014 after a short break with two residencies at Black Pearl II Club and l’Antirouille, numerous events held at Total Record record store and his first release with Orpheon Records. He also participated with a track in one of our Open Calls for DJs and producers that you can listen to here.
“I discovered music at the age of 5 with my first orange “eat record” with the 45 rpm records that my parents gave me and it was a revolution for me. She was always there, in times of difficulty but also of joy, giving me hope. That’s why music is something I want to share, to discover my universe, who I am.”KLoD
feeder sound 374 mixed by KLoD sets off with crispy, acidic breaks and smoothly drifts into acid house and deep house, followed by a carousel of rhythms and textures rooted in engaging and electric vibes. Special flavours are given in the minimal and microhouse selection which slowly progresses into twisted broken beats at the end, returning to where the journey started but with an extra amount of energy. Enjoy with the volume up!
