exclusive premiere: Anton Kubikov – What A Day
Continuing his series of independent digital releases, Anton Kubikov returns with “Hope & Love” EP on his official Bandcamp page, laying out four fresh cuts infused with various shades of house music. All tracks were recorded at different times yet brought together as a collage of sensations and feelings left on a magnetic tape of time. The artwork also hides a secret message that can be deciphered using non-narrative vocabulary in Latin.
From 1994 until now, Anton Kubikov has been a constant presence on the international electronic music scene, whether we talk about his solo performances or part of projects like SCSI-9 alongside Maxim Milyutenko or Snooker Boy, Receiver and Multipliar. Diving deep into a variety of styles and genres, he always delivers top-quality sounds for people to enjoy all around the world. You can find out more about his latest sonic endeavours in the digital world from our exclusive premieres of his latest EPs “Medlena Telega“, “Skysweemmer” and “Herbarium IV“.
Right after the opening track “303 Hope & Love” sets up the housy mood and the steady-paced progression of the EP, “What A Day” streams further down the line with smooth deep and dubby sounds, taking the listener straight into immersive states of mind. The elegant work on all of the layers can be recognised in all productions here, each cut having its own identity while elegantly blending in harmony with the other ones. From the uplifting vibrations of the first two originals to the mellow and hypnotic “Orange Power” and “Floating Dreamscape” best-fitted for the afterhours, the 303 touch, bright synth chords and pefectly balanced arrangements, makes this release a must-have for collectors and selectors alike.
