Germany-based record label Gjidoda Music brings forward its second vinyl-only Various Artists compilation entitled “Mute City”, featuring four timeless dancefloor weapons produced by Gjidoda, ILjir, Gjidoda Jr., Yoske and Longread aka Kirill Matveev. Designed with deep and dubby house sounds, to which spicy minimalistic aspects are carefully added, the record delivers an immersive groovy journey ready to be played and enjoyed by everyone in the international underground electronic music community.

Unique music, modern photography and minimalist design are the three pillars that set Gjidoda Music in motion. The outstanding collaborations presented here reflect a strong passion and understanding of various styles and genres, all smoothly mixed into a perfect outcome that can make anyone start daydreaming and dancing in seconds. Previous appearances include productions released with Lucidflow and MixCult as well as collaborations with Ki.Mi. and Nikdo.

“Airport Terminal” closes the record with style, revealing a laid-back yet engaging atmosphere, well-fitted with its title. Warm dubby chords, spacious breakdowns, ever-evolving textures and arrangements swing through the sonic spectrum with ease. Just drift!

The other cuts here are equally amazing, laying out inspiring rhythms and textures. From the street-tuned dubs and twisted synth work on the opening cut “Downtown” to the polyrhythmic bounces and eerie backgrounds of “Port Town”, complemented by the entrancing patterns of “Epigraph”, this 12″ is definitely a must-have for selectors, vinyl collectors and electronic music enthusiasts alike.
