After “Skysweemmer” and “Medlena Telega“, DJ and producer Anton Kubikov presents his third independent material for this year and the fourth entry in the Herbarium series. Laying out four fresh and outstanding compositions, “Herbarium IV” surely proves once more the Russian artist’s endless creativity and passion for deep and groovy electronic music.

With a career that spans almost three decades, countless live performances and numerous releases with various projects, Anton Kubikov is definitely a complete multidisciplinary artist still serving the international electronic music scene with style and elegance, always providing top-quality DJ sets and productions for the people. His latest works were published through labels like Mayak, OHM Series and Stately Records while others were dispatched via his online channels, including “Nebula Hotel” LP made in collaboration with Maxim Milyutenko as Scsi-9.

“Real Talk Sunset” opens Herbarium IV with phased and distorted vocal samples that seem to stand at the essence of this whole journey. The warm background atmospheres engage in an ever-evolving affair while a steady-paced rhythm makes sure the groove is in place. The spacious breakdowns are carefully placed in order to build even more tension while the uplifting energy can easily be felt in the following tracks as well.

“Soul City Express” follows up with an equally immersive vibe, diving deep into microhouse sounds that are smoothly flavoured with electric chords and hypnotising effects while “Simply Deep Way” stands out with its bright harmonics, shuffling percussion and swinging drumming patterns. Closing the release on a trippy note, “Silence Hour” drops a rather twisted take on minimal, designed with broken beats and off-beat synth arrangements to which eerie vocal choirs are added in order to keep to this mysterious story.
