Luciano, Dani Ramos, DeWalta – How Soon Is Now EP [Vatos Locos]
The next material announced to arrive soon from Vatos Locos features none other than the legendary Luciano in collaboration with Dani Ramos alongside the master of contemporary minimal music DeWalta on remix duties. Founded back in 2016 by Hector, the concept incorporates more than just a record label, it brings forward a solid crew of artists (Chad Andrew, David Gtronic, Randall M, Sece, Javier Carballo) that travel the world and perform at numerous events and festivals, delivering amazing electronic music to the people. Among other artists that collaborated with Vatos Locos we find Pinto, Iuly.B, Seb Zito, Mahony, Floog, Satoshi Tomiie, Locklead, Amo, tINI, Seth Troxler, Dubfire and Josh Wink, to name just a few.
Side A opens with the title track “How Soon Is Now”, an uplifting groover designed with intricate rhythms and textures as well as warm-blooded melodies weaving in and out of sultry vocals courtesy of Dani Ramos. This cut will definitely ignite dancefloors worldwide this summer. On the other hand, “UFO’s Call” rolls bald, surfing on dubby yet fluffy synths smoothly blended with a rolling bassline, along with compelling shakers and congas. On the flipside we find DeWalta’s reinterpretations, with “ETH Remix” dropping a dancefloor-oriented mind melter already tested at Sunwaves and Off-Sonar festivals while the “Metaverse Remix” creates its own rules with breakbeat lineage, chunky arrangements and a solid wobbling bassline.
