Ertmi – Save The Planet EP (w. Paul K Remix) [Symetric Sound]

After a successful launch with Root and Paul K at the controls, Symetric Sound returns with its second vinyl release, this time featuring Romanian artists Ertmi and Paul K, who takes on remix duties. Designed to showcase stimulating audio and visual contemporary art production, the venture acts as a vinyl-only label and concept showcase, while also running the sub-label Stamina, established in order to deliver amazing digital assets for the underground movement worldwide.

Ertmi is a local DJ and producer known for his releases with labels like Sheeva Records, Purple Sun Records, Oscilatii, Fratii.ro, Welter, Mödum, Saraw and Arupa Music, as well as for his inspiring sets which incorporate various shades of microhouse and minimal techno grooves. Throughout time he shared the decks with artists like Verzila, Aleksandar Rajic, Lizz, Cap, Ada Kaleh, Macarie and many others, slowly building a solid reputation for himself in both local and international scenes.

Side A of the record is reserved for “Awareness”, an eerie yet groovy minimalistic composition that twists and turns constantly, delivering a hypnotic and introspective sound powered by engaging arrangements, mysterious vocal elements and an ever-evolving progression of all the layers. On the flipside we first find the original take on “Missing Three”, a dark club tool aimed at dim-lighted dancefloors that will make anyone start moving their body in seconds. The percussion spin-outs and the gloomy background textures merge into an organic flow that delivers more and more energy as the needle spins. Paul K‘s remix closes the EP with an equally inspiring sound, diving deeper into B1 while keeping to the swing and mood. Definitely a collectable 12″ right here!
