Venezuelan artist Matheiu is a visionary multi-faceted sound artist and graphic designer working with analogue and acoustic instrumentation that often smoothly blends with electronic music. Currently based in Berlin, he’s well-known for his curatorial activity with Rockets Audio and Ark Scapes, as well as for his collaborations with labels like Fantastic Friends Recordings, What Now Becomes, Amam, Rawax, Heisenberg, Serialism, Enough! Music, Drumma, Saint & Don’t Music, Rotate and Rawstreet. His intense activity on the international scene is also backed up by his numerous and amazing performances behind the decks, having played alongside artists like Prichindel, Viceversa, BioN, Einzelkind, Wareika, Argenis Brito, Denis Kaznacheev, Vendi and Cesar Merveille, among many others. You can also find a track from him in collaboration with Max Jacobson of Tied on our first volume of “Peace In Ukraine” Various Artists series available in digital format on Bandcamp.
Nowadays, what you can expect from Matheiu‘s live sessions is a perfect and energetic blend of the most amazing sounds related to the pioneering minimal, house, techno, electro and acoustic aesthetics that will for sure create a wonderful and uplifting experience for anyone. At the same time, he also experiments in new fields of ambient, IDM, hip hop and dub for a more downtempo mood when relaxation and music enjoyment are at their peak. His work caters to human psycho-spiritual reconnection to oneself, community and the planet through the lens of conceptual music and art expansion.
