After a long hiatus, MUZI cartel returns with its 4th vinyl release in the form of “Realm EP” signed by Portuguese artists Rowan and Gear, alongside Romanian icon Cosmjn on remix duties. The material provides three uplifting cuts, elegantly infused with various house motifs, from tech-house to microhouse and smooth dubby inserts. Early support arrives from Priku, Verzila and others.

Smuggling sounds across the borders of electronic music, MUZI cartel definitely left its fingerprint on the Belgian underground scene, always providing amazing events and great line-ups to music lovers in Gent or afar. As a record label, the venture collaborated with the likes of Viktor Udvari, Mrsch, Dubfluss, Jamahr, 2Vilas, Bryz, Sound Process and Franco Strato.

“Realm” opens Side A with a moving groove that slowly builds up tension as the driving rhythm calls for a dance. The dub loaded textures and pads smoothly reverberate throughout the layers, making this cut perfect for both peak time moments as well as the afterhours at any party. Following, “Basic Human Relation” unleashes a thrilling electric arpeggio and a solid bassline that brilliantly merges with solid drumming patterns and spacious breakdowns, giving the listener positive vibes and feelings of hope, like dancing on a beach without worries.

The B Side is reserved for Cosmjn‘s reinterpretation of the title track, a 9 minutes showcase of how a consistent bassline complementing an even more consistent percussion never disappoints. Warm yet subtle stabs will easily carry you across the spectrum. A must-have record right here for collectors and selectors alike!
