Eksish is a Bristol-based DJ who has become synonymous with emerging talent on the house and techno scene. Taking elements from the early remnants of techno’s past, she pays homage to those who came before while adding something distinctly new. A smart and calculated DJ able to read any room she’s placed in, she respects her peers while boldly elevating to sit beside them.
Finding her interest in electronic music at an early age, it wasn’t until after her visit to Berlin and experiences in clubs like Club der Visionaere or Kit Kat that she directed her enthusiasm towards deep, minimal sounds. Crafting her own unique style of loopy minimal techno that is influenced by the Romanian sound and techno movements of Eastern Europe, she gained a reputation for delivering unmissable mixes and this allowed her to rapidly gain recognition within the electronic music scene. Throughout time, she shared the stage with the likes of Zip, Raresh, Oshana, Truly Madly, Sugar Free, Digby and Z@P.
Eksish is also an Atypical club series resident, SWU FM radio show host and long-time purveyor of wiggy, twitched-out electronics. Nowadays, she’s building a path toward some of the greatest minds in the modern minimal and electro scenes, all the while bringing versatility and dexterity of her own.
“This mix is a delve into middle ground between house and techno, packed with some of my favourite afterparty ready tracks I’ve been digging recently. Jazzy melodies and a rumbling bass compliments it all. With this mix I wanted to show the listener who I am as an artist by showcasing some of my favourite recent digs and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed recording it.”
