Daniel Broesecke – Bless EP (w. Epau Remix) [UVAR]
The fifth instalment in UVAR‘s Black Series features non-other than Vivus and Particular’s head chef Daniel Broesecke, who delivers an outstanding minimal sound on a journey that’s smoothly laid out within three fresh cuts and a twisted remix signed by Nu Zau and Sepp under the Epau moniker. Titled “Bless EP”, the record arrives in a limited number of copies and surely adds even more magic to the series, alongside previous materials delivered by Swoy, Vid, Direkt and Viceversa.
We invite you to find out more about Daniel Broesecke from our review of “Mistral EP” released on Vivus Records alongside Silat Beksi, the exclusive premieres of Vlad Arapasu‘s Remix of “Fusion” taken from VRV007 and “Holy Beats” from PARTICULAR04, as well as enjoy feeder sound 205 mixed by the artist himself.
Side A opens with the title track “Bless”, an elegant and driving composition designed with progressive influences, spiralling arpegios and an ongoing stream of energy powered by mysterious vocals and spacious breakdowns. The remix captures Epau dropping an intricate sound embedded with the feeling of a neverending state of building tension, keeping the broken rhythm at a slow tempo while adding heavily modulated textures derived from the original layers.
The B Side sets off with “Find Your Soul”, a steady-paced cut that evokes immersive states of mind with its warm atmospheres and presence. The drumming patterns are complemented by wavy pads that evolve into dreamy patterns and a serene organic flow. The EP closes with the vibrant movements and crystalline soundscapes of “Isha”, making this record a must-have without a doubt. Highly recommended for selectors and collectors alike!
