Abduction announces its fifth pressing to arrive soon, this time with French artist RWN at the controls alongside local DJ and producer Vern on remix duties. Packing a steaming minimal sound perfect for the dancefloor, the record already enjoys early support from artists like SIT, Cristi Cons, Arapu, Viceversa, Prichindel, Herodot, Lizz, Mera, Sublee, DeWalta and others. Launched almost 2 years ago as a sublabel of Rowle, Abduction quickly catched everyone’s attention with releases that feature ADMNTi, Kepler, Reyam, Alessio Viggiano, Fabrizio Maurizi, Direkt, userUNKNWN, Soyro, Bucurie, Rares Romanov and Cerec.

Paris-based Erwan Goudard aka RWN has been making waves lately, dropping inspiring podcasts with ventures like Block3, Viennoiserie, Sonanse, Subtil and Meoko while collaborating with record labels like Fake Society, Moulinet, Default and Kontent. For this EP he invites Vern to work his magic on one of the tracks, who adds a spicy ROminimal vibe to the whole concept.

Side A opens with the warm sound of “Igal”, a steady-paced journey that constantly builds tension through its hypnotic and ever-evolving background layers, spacious breakdowns, spiralling effects and eerie atmosphere. The remix by Vern is next, revealing a slightly different tune where the percussion is more prominent and the complementary elements receive a subtle dubby approach. On the flipside “Caracole” and “Oubliettes” elegantly complete one another with wobbling synth stabs, dreamy textures and carefully arranged narratives. The tracks seamlessly flow into an organic fairytale, perfect for warming up dancefloors or laid-back afterhours sessions.
