exclusive premiere: Holchin – Burgundy Bong [Mountain Series]

The first pressing to arrive from the freshly founded record label Mountain Series features up and coming Moldavian artist Holchin who drops two raw minimal cuts while French DJ and producer Vadim Oslov completes the release with a deep, stripped-back remix. “Muzea EP” arrives in a limited number of copies with no digital promotion policy so make sure you grab yours before it runs out of stock. The wax also represents the artist’s debut on vinyl, which arrives after several digital releases brought forward through Zeitlos Music and My First Love Record.

💥 Today we’re going to enjoy the opening track “Burgundy Bong” in full-length exclusively on feeder sound, so adjust the volume of your speakers and enjoy the ride:

“A very important release for me, Muzea EP is a project I’ve been working on for over a year. I tried to convey two states to the listener. A danceable one with Burgundy Bong and a darker mood with Choral.”

Holchin

Taking up Side A of the record, the track delivers a twisted steady-paced sound flavoured with oriental drumming patterns and instruments while the numerous variations and breaks create an eerie atmosphere as all the elements flow into a trippy affair. On the flipside, the ethereal vocals and the heavily filtered percussion of “Choral” reveal a rather abstract composition that gets a smooth polish from Vadim Oslov, making the cut perfect for laid-back afterhours or warm-up sessions.
