SAVE THE NIGHT - REMIXES I AERA x SAY CLAP x VALIETE

After almost 20 years of club business and countless nights of dancing under mirror balls, Luna Club, which is based in Kiel, brings together a selection of music from friends and family, to make up for the financial losses due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation.

After the first series of EPs for Luna Club Records, the beneficial label established to help save the club hits up 3 carefully selected remixers from their family network. All three provided countless trips behind the decks and now they show that their production skills are playing in that same league. Aera starts things off with his remix of Hank’s “Coastal Bonds”. A psychedelic version of the original with dream pop influences and house groove by Aera who is known for his releases on labels such as Dixon’s Innervisions, John Talabot’s Hivern Discs or Benjamin Fröhlich’s Permanent Vacation. Next up is the so-called “pitch” by Say Clap, not only a former resident during his event series called “freq.” for many years but also a very deep friend of the club. He takes the original by Gain Of Seven and transforms it into a rhythmic, percussive groover with strong dub vibes. Closing the first Remix EP of the Save The Night series is resident dj and Empore Labelhead Valiete with his re-interpretation of Avidus’ “Midnight Sun”. With well-selected drum elements and his signature sound nerdism moments, Valiete adds his very own touch to the melody of the original and completes the first bunch of remixes of the “Save The Night” series with a strong dramatic masterpiece of a remix for his brothers in arms Avidus.
