For this episode of our ongoing podcast series we invite Brazilian artist Rods Novaes to deliver an inspiring selection that will surely energise you for the upcoming weekend.

An expressive DJ on the Mato Grosso scene in Brazil, Rods Novaes has been collecting musical curiosities influenced by house and techno music for more than 10 years now, making a wealthy style of sets. From 2008 to 2012 he was a resident at the legendary Club Garage in Cuiaba and from 2012 to 2016 a club owner and resident at Nuun Club. Today he is Vozz’s club owner and resident as well as a producer and DJ at D.Agency. Throughout time he performed at some of the most well-known clubs in Brazil (such as D-Edge, Warung, Club88, Hoss Club, Clash, Lions, Pacha, A Lôca, Garage, Kiwi, Neo and Hause), having the opportunity to share the decks with artists like Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice, Miss Kittin, Derrick Carter, Seth Troxler, Technasia, Tiga, Art Department, Nic Fanciulli, Audiofly, Misstress Barbara, Stephan Bodzin, Guy Gerber, Vitalic, Umek, Joris Voorn, Nina Kraviz, Dusty Kid and many others.

As a producer since 2008, Rods Novaes has released tracks alongside Wender A. with imprints like Magnetic Recordings, Nervous Records, Resopal Schallware, Monique Speciale, Little Helpers, Lapsus Music, Basswalk, Pild Records, Crash!, Noexcuse, Tip Tap Records, Orion Muzik, Kinetika, Aula Records, Oblack Label, Beat Therapy, Digital Traffik, Seta Label, Bondage Music and Lo Kik. In 2011 he launched his own label, Not For Us Records, focused on minimalistic house and techno music delivered in both vinyl and digital formats.
