Underdog Records and the Sound of Art to Come label present the first duppy riddim remix

Bucharest based Indie Record Label Underdog is a Community centered around alternative, chillout, downtempo, dream-pop, trip-hop music genres. Their motto is: “Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. Underdog was founded on the belief that independent Romanian artists are stronger under one roof. The musical genres that they like and promote are not locally popularand their idols and ambitions go beyond borders, inspired by labels like Domino Records, Ninja Tune, Future Classic, Warp, Young Turks, XL Recordings or Ghostly International.
The “Antimaterie” album is the first official musical collaboration between Oigăn and Dáne Dávid, his son (beats, synthesizers, bass), and with the old collaborator Dan Georgescu (synthesizers, soundscapes, mix, master). Each song on the album is an invitation to participate in the class of the subject that bears the name, with the vocalist as a teacher and guide. This time, Oigăn has Ana Ularu invited, and the song “Meteorologie” is accompanied by a clip signed by the visual artist and photographer by Alex Gâlmeanu and remixed by Daniel Stanciu. The artistic direction belongs to Ioana Șișea, and the choreography to Andreea Novac.

The Sound of Art to Come Records is a Transylvanian based record label, home of Dub, Electronic and Experimental music outcasts and exploring mavericks. Deep in the heart of Romania, SoAC transmits from the dimension of The Shape of Dub to Come. They curate, collage and remix Duppy dubs and Duppy riddims inspired by Jamaican horror film soundtracks.
After ten years of making eclectic music, the dub ghost musician from Romania has tuned-in to another frequency creating Lil Obeah from Transylvania. When it comes to his sound, he defines it as duppy dub from a parallel universe. Obeah works with professionals in the music business, from Bucharest-based producer Marius Costache of Studio148 to international stars like Dub Colossus, Transglobal Underground and Dreadsquad. His remix work includes local artists like Tony Baboon, Oigăn & Ana Ularu, international sound clashers like Dubmatix, Dub Pistols, Prince Fatty, Ghetto Priest and Denise Sherwood, but also fictional acts like Reefah Madniss from Berlin.
The artist considers Dub music sound art and aims to create a forever authentic Romanian horror film soundtrack with his songs and remixes.
