Moldavian record label Zimotik announces its third pressing to arrive tomorrow in the form of an amazing four-tracker designed by Birdsmakingmachine alongside Franco Cinelli on remix duties. Simply titled ZMT003 after its catalogue number, the record delivers an uplifting and twisted minimal sound, adding even more magic to the imprint’s catalogue which so far published two various artists compilations featuring Marko Nastic & Coppe, Lowris, Bruno Pronsato, Luc Ringeisen, Dopustim and label-owner Dubfound.

The mysterious Birdsmakingmachine group have been active for quite some time now, dropping memorable live sets in their full formula here and there, inspiring DJ sets from separate members in different locations around the world and otherworldly productions through their eponymous label as well as Motion Sequence, Unreleased Plattform, Yama Music, Melodeum, Slowdy Mowdy, Honne Music, Castanea and Hoary, among others.

Side A opens with the funky swings of “Penelopino”, a high-tempo cut designed with a wobbling bassline, trippy effects, twisted vocal samples and intricate variations.

This driving vibe is tempered a bit by “Adonde Fuistez” which focuses on its modular chords, quirky arrangements and organic narrative. On the flipside “Lord Of Gypsies” exhibits a more steady-paced progression where the background textures and pads receive an eerie treatment and the complementary effects become more abstract. The spaced-out vibe of A2 transforms into a pumping dancefloor-infused bomb under Franco Cinelli‘s reinterpretation, concluding the wax with style and making this 12″ a must-have for collectors and selectors alike.
