“My Universe” is the newest EP brought by Brazilian label Not For Us. It contains three original tracks by São Paulo’s In Oceanul Cosmic — the new alias from Jefferson, who became known in the minimal/micro house scene for many years as Gogue.

Raw, minimalistic, introspective and filled with acid lines, dry beats, harmonic melodies and empty spaces, the EP lives up to everything Jefferson had been presenting with his previous project, only now with a new stage name.

And if for In Oceanul Cosmic we’re just talking about a second release, the record is Not For Us‘ #243 — an imprint established in the Brazilian Midwest by Rods Novaes for almost ten years.

Focusing on minimal house, Not For Us has signed with numerous big names of the Brazilian — and international — underground electronic music scene, such as L_cio, Victor Ruiz, DJ Glen, Andre Salata, Leo Janeiro, Volkoder, Fran Bortolossi, Anderson Noise, Alex Justino, Wilian Kraupp, Talking Machines, Anhanguera, Renato Ratier, Tarter, Mezomo, Keskem, Emiliano Martini, Apoena, Arthus, Stroka, Torquato, Nik Ros, Ariel Merisio and, of course, head-label Novaes.
